Here, the sea has become an important coordinate of spatial perception.

The south side is connected with the road around the sea.
With the winding path and body sinking, the time and experience of going to the sea are lengthened.
The building is located on the sandy land between the village and the bay.
△ roof viewing platform © Chen Hao △ looking at the sea © Chen Hao: people can enter the courtyard from different heights.
The scattered height difference changes are formed above the platform in combination with the human body scale, providing landscape vision and artistic conception at different heights.
The action of “bending” constantly turns people’s experience of architecture.
The large and small courtyards formed between buildings and roads are also gradually opened from enclosure.
△ shower © Chen Hao: as night falls, the soft light in the room overflows from the gap between the blocks, redefining the form of the building – the folding corridor is more and more like a silent “strip stone”, showing a more quiet temperament in the face of the sea and beach scattered by the crowd..
At the same time, it seems to be “squeezed” by the peninsula on both sides of the Bay, showing a bending posture – directing people’s attention to different directions of the sea to the north; Combined with the change of terrain to the south, several pleasant micro courtyards are formed – between the scattered villages and the broad sea level, the small and large scales are carried out simultaneously in the building.
In the tortuous walk, they constantly encounter the sea from a new angle.
From baths to restaurants, the functional layout changes from privacy to openness, and the proportion of entity and emptiness also changes.
People can climb up the stairs and walk on the roof unknowingly.
△ building interior © Chen Hao: the chiseled marks on the shower wall were originally smashed off the poured wall due to construction errors, but unexpectedly showed another more vigorous form of concrete, which we are happy to keep.
The terrain of the road decreases from west to East, forming an elevation difference from 4m to 1m with the base.

In the narrow shower, the sky light pours down from the top of the head.
The terrain of the site is flat.

With the passage of time, the space and materials show a changing texture.
△ 1:125 concrete model © From the west side of Tao, the building sinks into the earth, and its volume is dissolved and becomes an extension of the earth; As the terrain decreases from west to East, the building is separated from the earth and gradually appears, and finally becomes an independent volume on the ground in the East.
In the linearly elongated buildings, with the collection and release of space and the brightness and darkness of light, people feel the deep and rhythmic breathing of the buildings as they move forward.

The winding horizontal plane makes the boundary and distance ambiguous, as if it can extend to an infinite distance.

The courtyard is planted with natural Pennisetum and local black pine.
The void between entities becomes a common gray space under the eaves.
△ building interior © Chen Hao’s building uses large formwork fair faced concrete as the main material to form a thick entity – baths, cafes, restaurants and other functions are covered in the shadow of the roof.
The sound of waves echoes not far away, and the noise of the road is gradually away.
The architectural form is recognized in a piecemeal way, showing a certain complexity.
The local government hopes to build a set of service facilities here to provide people here with places to stay and rest.

People can directly cross the building to reach the bright beach, or go to the depths of the unknown shadow.
