In April 2015, Zhejiang University of Technology was selected as the first batch of “provincial key construction universities” in Zhejiang Province.

2、 Introduction to the College of Design and Architecture The predecessor of the College of Design and Architecture is the former College of Design and Art established in January 1999 and the former College of Humanities and Arts established in June 2000; In June 2002, the new Academy of Arts was established; In November 2017, the School of Art of Zhejiang University of Technology was renamed the School of Design and Art of Zhejiang University of Technology; In December 2019, the college, architecture and urban and rural planning were merged into the college of design and architecture.

More than 80 monographs and textbooks have been published, and more than 20 authorized invention patents have been obtained.

The college has established the national public service demonstration platform for small and medium-sized enterprises, the Sino-Italian Design Innovation Center Hangzhou Branch of the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Zhejiang Collaborative Innovation Platform of the China Academy of Arts and Technology, the Zhejiang Arts and Technology Research Center, the Zhejiang Industrial Design Technology Innovation Service Platform and other disciplinary platforms.
