Campus Public Building Design: Herta Mohr Building Leiden University, Netherlands/Updated


Commissioned by Leiden University, the design team has completed the renovation and expansion project of the former cluster buildings in the School of Humanities at the university.

In the late 1970s, architect Joop van Stigt designed the South Cluster building for the Faculty of Humanities at Leiden University.

The building covers an area of 11400 square meters and also has a parking lot.

It has over 700 teaching and self-study spaces, two lecture halls, work and conference rooms, and public activity rooms.

In addition, the African Studies Center and the Middle East Studies Project Library of Leiden University are also located here.
