Wu Junyang is an outstanding alumnus of the Architecture and Sustainable Design (ASD) undergraduate and master’s programs at the Singapore University of Technology and Design (SUTD).
In 2017, while pursuing his master’s degree, Wu Junyang went to Inushima Island near the coast of Okayama City, Japan to conduct in-depth research on how to revitalize rural areas through architecture and design.
At that time, due to the migration of young people to big cities such as Tokyo, there were a large number of vacant houses on Inushima, with a permanent population of less than 50 people.
