Rain house: six ways along the water

The direct conduction of water is the depiction of the dynamics of gravity, and the container like building is the shaping of the static state of gravity.

The formal logic of the roof is dominated by two natural elements, gravity and rain.

With the development of modern materials and mechanics, natural elements are no longer the dominant form of the roof.

Two separate village houses are covered with a large roof.

Under the eaves, in the heart, leave a landscape.

Gravity is the eternal law of all things, and rain is the natural thing that changes all the time.

It is prohibited to edit the version of good in any form.

“Rain house” is a further discussion on gravity and rain, not only the “exposure” of form, but also a careful intervention in nature: “if you want to take it, gather it first; if you want to tame it, obey it first.” ▲ rain house indoor © Tangxuguo ▲ guest room © Tang Xuguo ▲ interior details © Tang Xuguo ▲ appearance details of rain house © Tang Xuguo ▲ night view © Tang Xuguo ▲ construction photo © Construction project drawings and models ▲ models © First floor plan of Lai Building ▲ © Plan of ▲ second floor of Lai Building © Plan of ▲ third floor of Lai Building © Incoming building ▲ elevation © Name of the project: rain house owner: Tonglu · weichi · Qianshan boutique B & B Designer: Lai architectural design studio project type: B & B hotel geographical location: Heling village, Tonglu County, Hangzhou City, Zhejiang Province presiding Architect: Ma Dao Project Architect: Fan Yu design team: Fan Yu, Liao Qixian, Zhang Ying Photography: Zhao Yilong, Tang Xuguo Fan Yu structure: reinforced concrete frame structure & steel structure land area: 412.61m ² Building area: 1081.63m ² Design cycle: September 2019 – December 2020 construction cycle: October 2019 – October 2021 copyright © Www.good.cn, welcome to forward it.

Water is invisible and tangible, soft and strong.

thank   To architectural design studio   Sharing the good roof is the connection between the building and the sky, an important shelter for space, and also the core element of the building.

Containers can depict the shape of water, and gravity can push the force of water.

This most simple way of falling is the original form of free released water.

Architecture shows a powerful and incomparable human result and becomes more and more like a machine.

Water crossing bridge is a poetic artifact, connecting and crossing: crossing streams, ponds and layers, which is a linear connection between space and body level.

Water is invisible and tangible, soft and strong.

A static movement is reduced to the formula of universal gravitation by Newton, because architecture can present a variety of deduction proofs.

Stepping on the water is on the second floor of the building.

The circular steps in the pond need to be prepared to cross, just like stepping on the water in the field to avoid the puddles on rainy days.

The diversion is an inverted curved canal.

In the design, the waterway penetrates the concrete slab downward to show the power of water.

The path must pass through a pond.

The roof is supported by columns, and rainwater can be guided to the ground in various ways and paths, forming an invisible and tangible confrontation.

Lift the water to lift the roof high, or stand up from the ground or support from the wall.

“Dripping water wears away stone” is an ancient image describing water power.

The shape of the canal is the shape of water, and the direction of the canal is to divert water.

Containers can depict the shape of water, and gravity can push the force of water.

The resistance to gravity and the diversion of rain determine the form evolution of the roof.

Architecture is not driving away nature, but mutual acceptance of the unity of heaven and man: guiding the wild of nature and taking full care of the vitality of nature.

The roof with continuous water wave shape is a water guiding container, which gathers the originally evenly falling raindrops into a linear waterway.

The geometric purity of the form and the sense of manual operation of the form (cutting, twisting…) show the ambition of modern people.
