3D visualization and real-time coordination are the main characteristics of BIM design [5], and the linkage between 2D and 3D enables a qualitative improvement in decoration design in terms of verification, accurate calculation, and other aspects [6].
The decoration industry’s expectations for BIM technology mainly focus on improving design efficiency and innovating design technology [7-9].
However, the current mainstream BIM design software Revit in the construction industry is not yet perfect in terms of functional modules for building decoration special design, with problems such as low modeling efficiency, inability to directly meet the requirements of railway engineering for data collection, complex annotation and drawing operations, and high design cycle requirements.
Revit has rich development interfaces [10], and based on Revit API, secondary development can improve the efficiency and quality of BIM design, becoming an important research direction for railway passenger station building decoration design.
With the iterative upgrade of BIM design tools, automation and parametric modeling will release more momentum for digital production [11].
