The design is based on the concept of “treating mountains and waters with courtesy”, inheriting the cultural spirit of ancient Gumei country’s respect for heaven and earth, and the unity of heaven and man.
The main body of the building conforms to the anti C-shaped hilly terrain of the site and is treated as a soil slope landscape.
The circular volume of different sizes is like jade rings scattered on the grass slope, which not only translates cultural symbols such as unearthed jade, but also responds to the natural environment of the site’s mountain and water views and the surrounding ruins.
The facade material is selected as a rammed earth like curtain wall and a jade like digital printed glass.
The base conveys the sense of heaviness of the site through the rammed earth texture, while the jade like glass is warm and transparent, balancing historical vicissitudes with modern minimalist aesthetics.
