China Academy+China Academy of Building Research | China Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka World Expo in Japan


The China Pavilion at the 2025 Osaka World Expo in Japan covers an area of 3509 square meters, making it one of the largest foreign self built pavilions at the Expo.

The architectural concept design is inspired by “Chinese bamboo slips” and cleverly integrates cultural symbols with rich meanings such as bamboo, Chinese characters, and scrolls.

Cast in Loop

It combines the ancient information transmission tool of bamboo slips with the development of the current information age, telling the history of China, showcasing the construction of China’s ecological civilization, and interpreting the exhibition theme of “jointly building a community of life between humans and nature – a future society of green development”.
