The Yuhang International Sports Center in Hangzhou is a core landmark project in the city’s efforts to build an international “competition” and “meeting” city.

It was designed by the world’s top architectural firm, Zaha Hadid Architects, with a total investment of over 9.

5 billion yuan and a total construction area of 534000 square meters.

The center plans to construct “one stadium, two venues” -60000 professional football fields, 18000 comprehensive sports halls, 3000 swimming and diving halls, and supporting facilities.

The project will start construction in October 2023 and is expected to be completed and put into use in early 2027.

After completion, it will become one of the most fully functional sports complexes in the Yangtze River Delta region, capable of hosting top-level events such as the FIFA World Cup and the AFC Champions League, as well as large-scale concerts, exhibitions, and other activities.
