The international design competition for Grande Ospedale della Malpensa Hospital was jointly won by Zaha Hadid Architects (ZHA), Italian Classification Society (RINA), Plicchi Studio, WSP, STI Engineering Company, and Baker (BC) Architectural Consulting Company.
This newly built medical park will integrate the original Gallarate Hospital and Busto Arsizio Hospital to form a unified medical system, providing 21st century new medical services to nearly one million residents in the Milan to Varese region.
