The European Commission and the Mies van der Rohe Foundation, with the support of the EU’s “Creative Europe” project, have officially announced the seven shortlisted works for the 2026 Mies Prize.
The jury believes that these projects can be regarded as important demonstrations of the future of contemporary European architecture.
The shortlisted works showcase how architecture responds to specific local conditions while addressing broader social issues, creating inclusive and high-quality living, learning, and public communication environments.
