The building is composed of four plain concrete cylinders with different orientations, as if four “lenses” rotating horizontally on the site, hidden behind the dense forest, focusing on capturing the life moments of egrets.

Based on the on-site conditions, each cylinder is adjusted to the optimal viewing direction, forming four staggered “framing frames” indoors.

To minimize land occupation, the cylinder bodies are vertically stacked to form a four story bird watching tower; Its highest point is only slightly beyond the southern side of the Chinese fir forest.

The first to fourth layers correspond to the tree roots, trunks, crowns, and treetops of the subtropical rainforest in sequence.

Looking back from Egret Island, the buildings are almost “invisible” among the lush forests, with only a transparent “lens” lurking behind the forest, peering at the herons from within.
