Pan Gongkai’s Architectural Design Scheme Selection (Part 1)


The construction project of the Huajiadi campus of the Central Academy of Fine Arts was completed in 2001, leaving three small open spaces.

Due to insufficient funding, they were reserved for future construction of an art museum, design of teaching buildings, and student dormitories.

After I became the dean of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, I actively created conditions, mediated for funding, and attempted to restart the construction of these three buildings.

On the one hand, I ran to the Ministry of Education and the National Development and Reform Commission, and on the other hand, I thought and organized architectural design.

The most important project among them is the Central Academy of Fine Arts Art Museum.
